2 down at Stoke & we get a draw! Whats the fuck's happened..

Like most of us I remember many, many occasions when we'd be 1 or 2 down in a shithole like Stoke and we'd throw the towel in and end up well beaten.
2 down yesterday and we kept at them, ending up with a cracking away draw.
Yes, they missed some sitters toward the end but that's football, the point is we dragged ourselves back in and got a result whereas in days gone by we were fucked.
I'm not saying this is the 'new West Ham' yet, far too early to make that statement, but fuck me, what an improvement so far.
BFS - still think he's a cunt because of all the crap before this season + I think Sheringham is a big part of this team, but I only care about the club and our results.
So if BFS has had something imposed on him to get us playing like this - carry on you fat bastard and COYFI's!!

To be fair we got lucky. We could easily have gone more than two goals down at one stage.
Adrian,Collins,Valencia and Downing got us out of the shit.

To add to thsi the Southampton game was only one we deserved nothing from. we should have had a point from Spurs and Man U.

I'm getting annoyed by this 'throw the towel in' , West Ham have 'found some steel' shite. None of Allardyce's sides have given in or lacked fight and WHU haven't at any stage. It's one of the reasons I liked Sam even when many on here wanted him out. Last season the fight was all about staying in a game and stopping the opposition from scoring What's happening now? We're creative and scoring and have confidence that even if we go 2 down we can still get something out of a game. It's both a small and BIG difference.

Comma, I couldn't give a monkeys about clean sheets as long as we score more than the opposition.
Makes for a more entertaining game as well and that's what we have been telling BFS we want.

Sam knew we had no more than a goal a game so started by avoiding conceding. Now we can score I assume he's still unhappy about conceding but knows that to score you'll need to leave yourself a little bit more vulnarable.

lewdo, I was making an observation and not a critical comment. FWIW I thought that last season despite the stats there were many times we defended badly.
